Oxygen Network Selects JSP

JSP crews were busy at the annual Mentors 5K Walk and Breakfast shooting interviews and B-roll footage for the OH! Oxygen Network, The event was sponsored by the Denver Women's Vision Foundation, and Comcast Cable TV. Producers from Oxygen network flew here to direct and assist in video production efforts. One of the Women's Vision Foundation efforts is to provide a networking program of senior mentors in various career fields to bring along the next generation. Oh! Oxygen is a national cable television network
whose mission is to bring women (and the men) edgy, innovative television from such diverse talents as Oprah Winfrey, and Banyan Productions (Trading Spaces). Founded in 1998, the network is independently owned and currently available in over 69 million households.
"Speed" Freaks JSP

JSP crews produced several segments for ESPN II's automotive racing program "Speed Freaks" at Bandimere Speedway during this years' Rocky Mountain (NHRA) Nationals. The TV show, hosted by Kenny Sargent and sponsored by Lucas Oil racing products, is a weekly national show. All production efforts were shot on location using four hard cameras, two ENG cameras, and a 19-foot Jimmy Jib during the event. JSP utilized the TDV production truck which features complete live switch to tape/broadcast capabilities for the shoot.
Access Media Selects JSP Footage
JSP recently produced seventy-five stock footage "pods" of summer activities for Access Media's I AM TV system. Pods feature mountain climbing, surfing, diving, mountain biking, rodeo, auto racing, sky diving, and mountain boarding The two-minute pods play on I AM TV’s restaurant and bar closed circuit programming. Shows are continuously run on subscribers big screen TVs during afternoons and evenings. I AM TV is currently in six states, and at 8 locations in the Denver metro. New JSP winter sports and activities including extreme ski and mountain boarding, footage will added into the system this fall.
Inside Tracks: JSP Documentary On Cable
JSP wrapped a one-hour TV production for Comcast Entertainment Television (CET Denver) depicting Rocky Mountain Entertainments’ horse and dog racing operations in the Denver area. The program features a behind the scene look of both Arapahoe Park Horse Racing and Mile High Dog Racing facility. Bruce Seymour, General Manger of both venues helped produce the show and provided historical information, pictures, and old vintage video. Watch for it on Comcast (CET) in your area.
Record Breaking Run
Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima's SUZUKI Sport XL7 nears finish line at Pike's 14,100 foot summit as JSP helicopter hovers overhead. Tajima's 10.40 minute record breaking run happened during the 85th running of the annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb's "Race to the Clouds" July 21. Monster's Suzuki was clocked at speeds of 127+ mph during the run up the 13 mile course.

JSP is the official video and broadcast production company for the annual event. Editing and preparation for two different shows are currently underway at JSP studios. The first airings will be August 16 on Altitude Sports & Entertainment Network.
Stock footage of the event including aerials will soon be available.
JSP's official Pike's Peak Office
JSP's official Pike's Peak office, a Mobile Mini located at 9400 feet at mile marker 3 on world famous mountain. The 12 by 7 foot steel building does have electrical power and features central heat and air, and florescent lighting. Telephone and Internet service is spotty at best. So, the office, open for business only during Pike's Peak Hill Climb week, uses UHF base and mobile radios as the major source of communication.
"Dirty Cop" at Mudapalooza 2007
Watch the official, on the scene, JSP video footage of the mud volleyball game where a Northglenn cop got muddied up by two women. After going back to the police station, the officer came back to the game and presented the women each with summons for court appearances.

Bandimere Speedway Documentary
John Sandy Productions, Inc., in association with Comcast Entertainment Television, has just completed a new one-hour documentary on Denver's
premier dragstrip, Bandimere Speedway. The program traces the Bandimere family's involvement with the track since its inception in 1949. Today, it is one of the nation's top drag race facilities, is host to national and local events, and features programs for juniors, teens, and adults. Learn more about this unique family, and more about drag racing.
Watch for it now airing on cable channel 5 (Denver), cable channel 4 in Colorado Springs.
The Puck Stops Here!
JSP recently wrapped the final production of the "Avalanche Alert" TV show for Altitude Sports and Entertainment Network. JSP recently wrapped the final production of the "Avalanche Alert" TV show for Altitude Sports and Entertainment Network. The seasonal half-hour show is the showcase for the NHL's Colorado Avalanche Hockey team featuring game highlights, interviews, behind the scene aspects of the game, and spotlights on individual players. JSP wrote and produced the weekly show on location in conjunction with Altitude and handled all post production. Currently, JSP is already planning a bigger and better show for next season. The show airs exclusively on Altitude during the entire NHL playing season.
NFL looking for a few good men...
and so are junior sports teams! Velocity Sports Performance Center-Centennial contracted JSP to produce a DVD that promotes their NFL Combine Training Program. This is the program for NFL players and college hopefuls in preparation for the NFL's Combine tryouts.
This training regime is headed-up by Velocity's Loren Landow, Sports Performance Director. Landow also served as host/narrator for the new DVD. See Velocity's web site at: velocitysp.com/centennial
Another promotional DVD was also produced recently by JSP for Velocity's Skill & Speed Camps aimed at ages 6-16. The camps are designed for specific age groups,and offer developpmental training that can be applied to any sport. The promotional DVD, aimed at parents, explains the program, and depicts a typical training session. Both DVDs were shot on location at Velocity's Centennial Colorado facility, and posted at JSP.

Play Ball! University of Northern Colorado
JSP is currently working on a documentary for the University of Northern Colorado's (UNC) Baseball (UNC Bears) program and its return to Division 1 status. The show will feature UNC Baseball history, their return to Division 1 status, and interviews with coachers and players. The program will also highlight the schools' current playing season which includes the Universities of Nebraska, Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas State, and Brigum Young. Watch for it to air on Altitude Sports & Entertainment Network soon. JSP also produced a new Television commercial and PSA promoting UNC's 2007 Baseball program. Both spots are appearing on Denver Television stations and CET/COMCAST.
Best Damn Sports Show Period
In late August,
JSP provided ENG services for Fox Sports Net's Best Damn Sports Show Period.
JSP produced a special segment featuring National League East leader New York
Met's Third Baseman, David Wright. Wright was interviewed by Rob Dibble, one
of the program' several hosts, during practice sessions prior to game time with
the Colorado Rockies. The show airs nightly on Fox Sports Net.
Last Comic Standing
JSP shot five different segments last month for NBC TV's reality show Last Comic Standing featuring Denver resident and comedian Josh Blue, who has Cerebral Palsy (CP), ended the show's 2006 season (Aug. 9) as the overall winner. He is also an accomplished artist and plays soccer on a national team of players with disabilities. JSP shot interviews and B-roll segments of Blue at his home, art studio, during an anniversary party, and playing soccer. Blue's popular comedic presentations include references to his handicap. His winnings include involvement in a concept development show for NBC to debut early next year.
American Country Television
JSP completed shooting a behind the scenes project for the world famous country group Lone Star for their new DVD release Mountains last month. The group, headquartered in Nashville, used JSP to produce a half-hour TV show that depicts the making of a music video for CMT Canada. The program, which will also air on American Country Television , featured interviews with members of Lone Star on location at a specialty auto salvage yard, and at an actual working ranch. Yes, the Rocky Mountains were always in the background of most key shots. Watch for Mountains to be released in late September.
